EJ – Amido Balde continued to score in his last four matches with Persebaya Surabaya. His previous match against Perseru Serui (2/3) at President Cup 2019, he scored two equaliser goals which inspired Persebaya’s dramatic victory 2-3 win after left two goals behind before break. Overall, the 27-year-old striker has scored 12 goals in four consecutive matches.
Nevertheless, the performance of the Guinea-Bissau international players is still being criticized by Bonek, a loyal supporter of Persebaya Surabaya. Some of them feel that Baldé does not have enough strength to protect the ball and enough will to chase the ball controlled by the opposing player.
But Balde once again gave a firm answer to his critics. That he can still score goals. Although the goals he scored were mostly through headers. Not surprising to me, because indeed with a body height of 193 cm the ability to jump higher than the opponent’s defender becomes its flagship weapon.
